Silicon Valley Mercury News "People ask me all the time 'What does Live Like Jay' mean?" By WALLACE BAINE
'"It doesn't mean to live like Jay did. You don't need to be this gnarly athlete and big-wave rider. It means to live to be who you are meant to be, and to be true to yourself."
'In the days after Jay Moriarity died, the Santa Cruz surfing community that nurtured him put aside its divisions and rivalries.
'"When he passed away," said Kim Moriarity, "the longboarders, the shortboarders, the land lovers, everyone just came together. Even people who were enemies, on that day, none of that mattered. Even they were holding each other's hands. Our love for Jay was what brought us all there."'
