10th annual Waterman's Challenge

Florida Today "The Sebastian Inlet chapter led the way with 160 points, followed by Suncoast of St. Petersburg (156), Central Florida (152), Cocoa Beach (148) and Miami (96)." by HILLARD GROSSMAN

'Twelve-month-old Lana Christman was a little too young to surf, but that did not stop the rest of her family from competing in the 10th annual Waterman's Challenge behind the International Palms hotel on Saturday.

'Her mom, Susan, was making her first appearance in the two-day event.

'"I like it, because it's more low-key (than other contests)," the Merritt Island resident said. "The beach is not as crowded here and we found a primary parking space, with no problem."'
