CCTV images of Oliver Doy released by Cornwall police

'A spokesman for the force said they were becoming "increasingly concerned" for Mr Doy as time went by.

'He urged members of the public to be vigilant when out walking on the beaches or coastal paths for clothing or personal items which may be linked to the surfer.

'Mr Doy had been working as an NHS healthcare assistant after having graduated from Plymouth University, and was in Newquay on holiday with some friends.

'Police hope this woman [at left] may have seen Mr Doy and urge her to contact the force.'
